Practical Fire Solutions presents “The Fundamentals of Developing Fire Streams” Workbook for Fire Ground Hydraulics written by Robert Culbertson.
This workbook has easy to follow illustrated charts and tables that students need to solve the problems without having to resource separate manuals.
This workbook has 11 Gallons Per Minute (GPM), 15Total Pressure Loss (TPL) and 52 Pump Discharge Pressure (PDP) illustrated practical fire ground hydraulic problems. This is a total of 78 new, never before seen practical fire ground hydraulics problems. Actual problem illustrations in the book are black and white to keep the cost down for the fire personnel. Color Copies are available upon request.
Each problems is worked out completely to show how the problem was worked out and the solution was resolved. After beginning the process of solving the problems, the problem pages will flow (pictured above) with the book. This keeps the student from having to flip the book around while navigating through the problems.
All firefighters
around the world have the same common goal. It is to assist their
community, visitors and surrounding communities when they are in the
need of help. This is the reason that we, as Apparatus Operators,
should be sharp on our skills and be able to apply what we have
learned in a safe, timely and accurate manner to the best of our
ability. For this reason, we have developed the “Fundamentals
of Developing Fire Streams” Workbook
for Fire Ground Hydraulics as an additional resource of problems
to practice the calculations of related problems that may be
encountered on the incident scene. The “Fundamentals
of Developing Fire Streams” Workbook
for Fire Ground Hydraulics is a workbook to be used for the
further study in fire ground hydraulics related to the fire service.
This book is not an instruction manual on how to calculate fire ground
hydraulics but rather is used to show examples of gallons per minute,
total friction loss and pump discharge pressure problems. We have
found that firefighters who study or practice practical fire ground
hydraulics, either for knowledge or promotional purpose, usually
exhaust the problems in all other manuals provided for them leaving
them searching for more challenging problems to work. By applying the
knowledge already received from instructional facilities or classes,
you can now apply that knowledge to our workbook to assist you in your
goals, whatever they may be. The “Fundamentals
of Developing Fire Streams” Workbook
for Fire Ground Hydraulics is designed for firefighters who wish
to get more out of what they are doing to better understand the
fundamentals of fire ground hydraulics. This workbook is not a teaching guide but a book of supplemental problems to assist you in your goals of practice or study. Pricing
